We are grateful to share that the opening session of our Wellness Café series was a meaningful and successful start to this year’s program. Led by Sabrina from Unite Wellness, the session invited participants to explore the different dimensions of wellness — mental, physical, and emotional — and how these aspects are deeply interconnected in our daily lives.

Sabrina encouraged us to “scan” ourselves holistically. How are we feeling physically? Are we getting enough rest? How is our emotional state? Are we overwhelmed, calm, or carrying unspoken stress? Mentally, are we feeling focused, distracted, motivated, or exhausted?

Through guided reflection and discussion, participants learned simple but powerful strategies to navigate these areas of wellness. We talked about small, realistic activities that can improve our well-being, such as:
- Taking mindful pauses during busy days
- Practicing breathing techniques
- Creating small movement routines
- Setting healthy boundaries
- Building supportive social connections
- Allowing space for emotional awareness
One important takeaway from the session was that wellness is dynamic. Life changes from week to week, and our needs change with it. Instead of striving for perfection, we were reminded to practice awareness and flexibility — meeting ourselves where we are.
We are thankful to Sabrina for guiding us with warmth and clarity, and to all participants who showed up with openness and honesty.

This is just the beginning of our Wellness Café journey. We look forward to continuing to explore practical tools and meaningful conversations that support the well-being of our community.
