During these lovely summer days, the Elaine Bacon Literacy Program and International Neighbors have twice gathered at Donna and Tom’s lake house to share stories, joy, and, of course, foods!
Several countries were represented among those who came on Thursday, August 4th: Indonesia (Puti), Sri Lanka (Janaka and Wathsala), Japan (Miyoko, Asako and son), Brazil (Aline and her kids). For some, it was the first time students met in person with their tutors and conversation partners: Jill, Randall, Beth, Denise, Cindy, Geoff, Amy, and Jan. Special thanks to our host, Donna.
