Being part of the ESL Conversational Partners Program has been an enlightening and enjoyable experience for me. Both of my partners, Dejlah Alerzerj from Iraq and Aline Freitas from Brazil are delightful people. I admire both of them because they are so outgoing and work hard to learn English, make friends, and participate in numerous classes and activities in EBLP. I have enjoyed learning about their families, their countries, and some things about their countries’ culture. Even though Dejlah has moved away we still keep in touch and enjoy visiting on FaceTime. I feel fortunate to be part of the program.
