Our Road to Keweenaw International Children’s Festival series continued on September 27 with two exciting sessions — a screen printing workshop led by our friend and local artist Miriam, and Read Aloud Session 2 with author Kelsey Gross.

Children (and parents) had a fun and engaging morning exploring creativity through art and storytelling. Under Miriam’s guidance, participants learned the screen printing process and created beautiful prints featuring kind words from different languages, such as:
- Karuna (Sanskrit) – compassion
- Ubuntu (Zulu) – humanity toward others
- Shalom (Hebrew) – peace
- Salam (Arabic) – peace
- Chōwa (調和) (Japanese) – balance, harmonious blending

Special thank you for our youth volunteers: Simon and Khalif for all the help during the screen printing workshop!
